April 14th, 2022 - Quicksilver Wrapping Up...

What started as a harness & injector replacement evolved into a whole lot more....like an engine locked up tight...this is now wrapping up....and Goldie will be slipped in for a suspension freshening & big brake upgrade....then starts the slicktops (yea, two CRP ones)!!

The Z Farm's 1990 Twin Turbo Full Resto build has been regifted to another fellow Z enthusiast, so that build is showing 'completed' in the log.  I saw some pics of it not long ago, he's been making amazing progress with it.  This was done because another peculiar build was dump on me in the form of another Cherry Red Pearl Slicktop.  This 90TT is being scrubbed in order to fuel this slicktop with parts.  I've wanted another slicktop for a long time, and everything I've found has just not been what I was looking for; mostly just completely junked up, rusted, or ragged out cars....and slicktops aren't easy to find anymore!!  ...and then to find a CRP slicktop in absolutely fabulous condition.....and now the Farm Fleet has two...count 'em TWO very rare Cherry Red pearl slicktops now!

Summer 2022 - Goldie Suspension Freshening, BBK, and 3:69 Differential Swap

Goldie's suspension was done in ~2004....  Eighteen years have passed, the cheap Monroe shocks are shot, as are bushings.  I bought all Nismo bushings; to include differential bushings.  I'm keeping the classic Eibach/KYB spring & shock combo.  I'm also removing all the adjustables and going back to stock-ish setup in front with fresh Nismo bushings and the old classic 300* camber kit tailored for the Eibach lowering springs.  I'll keep the adjustables in the rear, just so I can dial the camber in.

The crown jewel of this round for Goldie is the Rotora Big Brake Kit.....but I won't leave out the Q45 3.69:1 differential, to replace the NA 4.10:1.  It'll be nicer to have gears a little taller to go with the boost....and since 3.69:1 is the stock ratio of the factory turbo differential, there won't be any speedo issues.  FWIW in December 2022, I'll have owned Goldie for 20 years!!

 Goldie v3.0!!
Goldie went under the knife over the winter 2014~2015 and made her 5spd debut in May 2015!!  She's also sporting a freshly overhauled engine, a complete power steering rework, and topped off with a fresh alignment!

May 17th, 2022

Branson Z Fest 2022 is going on from June 1st through June 5th.  Unfortunately I am unable to attend this year, the dates conflict with my anniversary....but those who go are in the know of what a great time it is!!

Abe and his crew did a fabulous job revamping the event!  Branson Z Fest Official Website

Branson Z Fest 2022!!
Join us every spring in Branson, Missouri for the largest annual "Family Reunion" of Nissan Z cars in the Midwest!!

I would also like to take a minute to thank all those that are sponsoring past events.  We couldn't do it without you!!  Most of the names on this list are no longer sponsoring BZF due to some BZF planning screwups....but they're still good folk, so I won't remove their links.
