Okay this might be embarrassing in the end but I have to know if it's me or my car.
Sorry that this length but It has to be detail in order to catch you up on the problem at hand.

First thing is that My clutch on my 91 twin Z32 was no good so I upgraded and got a Z1 Combo Performance clutch and lightweight flywheel for the replacement of the clutch. The car is a Europe specs and of course Z1 is from the states. that shouldn't matter from what I have been told. I had a friend install the clutch for me while I was away on vacation. I got back I was told that they had problems fitting the performance clutch to the OEM parts. I can't imagine why though, they really don't do much with upgrading to performance parts in Germany and maybe they didn't know what they were doing. This worried me and as I was driving home I heard a strange sound in first and second sounds like when you shift to soon, the grinding sound you hear. It happens when I going around turns shifting or when I'm going up hill. At first I thought I'm just not shifting right but it does in first when I'm taking off! So I'm confused as to how this can be happening in first.

Then their was this squelch sound when I down shifted yesterday. I have a bad alternator belt that needs to be replace that squeaking a little when I first start it up or anytime after i almost stall the car and get it back before it stalls out. Could that squeak be happening for a second when I down shift?

I took it to another mechanic today that has owned 11 Nissan in his lifetime all them from 240 to 350z. After he drove it he said that he thinks the problem is with the Transmission because it's hard to shift and the clutch doesn't engage until the petal is right about at the top. However he has never dealt with performance parts on Z cars before, he admits. Their not common in Germany he says. Is this normal actions for a car with a Mod performance flywheel and clutch

I contacted the company about it they said that it might all the air might not be bleed out of the line or install incorrectly.

Can anybody help point me in the right direction or tell me what to look for?

Come over to www.300zxclub.com and ask that question.

Not much going on here, as we use this for a backup site.

That just happened to me last February I think & left everything with my uncle (which happened to be a mechanic). Anyways, let's just meet at the main 300z site then.
